The Puppets For God puppet ministry has been performing at Pleasant Hills Church for more than 10 years. Under the direction of Rob Haslett, the group started out as mainly a youth led ministry. Today, the team includes families and members whose ages span three generations.
Puppets For God performs throughout the year during Sunday services, every Sunday evening between Thanksgiving and New Year’s for Churchlights, and yearly for Dinner With The Puppets, a show that includes dinner and a half hour performance. We are also available to perform at your location. Contact us for more information.
The team has been travelling to Pittsburgh for several years to participate in a puppet ministry festival and while there has competed in competitions with both their puppet team and stick ministry. The team has earned multiple medals, including silver, gold, and almost always are voted the people’s choice award. The members have decided that the next step for their ministry is to share their knowledge and love of puppetry with other teams or individuals who are looking to learn or expand.
We invite you to come and participate in our first annual theatrical ministries Clinic in the Cleveland area, on Saturday May 11 from 9am-3:30pm, where you can take part in classes about puppetry, stick ministry, drama teams, and directing or starting your own ministry. There will be a feature performance in the afternoon, titled #Love One Another. We also invite you to bring a song or short performance of your own to share with the audience.
We look forward to spending the day with you and spreading the love of Jesus as we Serve God Through Our Hands.
