Pastor: Rev. Mikayla Kovacik
Did you know that Pleasant Hills UMC has joined partnership with The Nehemiah Mission of Cleveland and seven other local Churches to provide a meal ministry that is serving the homeless and disadvantaged of Cleveland.
The program designed to visit the homeless at their encampments is meant to be more than just a means by which to deliver food and warm clothing. It is intended to be a relationship building opportunity and to demonstrate the love and care of all humanity as Jesus would.
The initial concept is based on John the Baptists pronouncement of the coming of Jesus. In Luke 3:10 the crowds asked John; “What do we do now?” His answer in Luke 3:11 was; “ Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.”
Pleasant Hills will next take the Luke 3:11 trailer out to feed those in need on Saturday, October 5. If you are interested in participating in food prep or passing out food, please contact Molly Gillahan or the church office.
